I dedicate this book to families all over the world, who have experienced and lived through the horror of war. We don’t know where the idea starts for one man to kill another. The biblical reference of Cain and Abel, who were brothers, gives us a hint that this idea may have begun in the family. It is in the family unit that we first form our view of the outside world. I don’t want to simplify the state of war and blame it on the family, but we are all affected by this structure or lack of a family. If war isn’t a good thing, then why do humans continue to use it as a method to solve problems? Actually, it’s a very selfish way to get what you want. It is the highest level of bullying, on an organized, state, government level. There is no easy answer. If there was an easy answer, humans would have used it by now. The end result for war is peace, but that ending is never used at the start of a war. They come to a peaceful solution after both sides have depleted most or all resources. This further exaggerates the pointlessness of war as a means to solve problems. We all continue to see through a glass, darkly.
